Abstract

This research was aimedat findingfactors in the management of aircraft maintenance organizations in the Thai commercial aviation industry.Qualitative research was used by means of a structured interview form to collectdata from in-depth interviews with fourteenaircraft maintenance expertswho were chosen by purposive sampling. These included government, international organizations, executives of aeronautical engineering associations and executives of Thai airlines who are responsible for aircraft maintenance.Then the emphasis and coherence of data were analyzed.Theresults revealed that the management ofaircraft maintenance organizations in the Thai commercial aviation industry havethree key factors: context andenvironment, organizational management and organizational resources.
